What is the definition of discrimination?

Discrimination can be defined as the legal determination of guilt of an individual based on behaviour of a group that is related by either race, belief, sexuality, etc. For instance, because a certain type of group of people is statistically more likely to commit a crime someone who is also part of that group is also guilty.

The reason why discrimination is illegal is because you prevent the chance of a group, generally a minority, to integrate properly. This is also the reason why discrimination is determined illegal by the constitution. Because this has been proven over time to not work.

Besides, knowing the correct definition of discrimination it is important that people understand the disturbance it brings to society. Even though, it is illegal many provoke hatred by the proposal of discrimination as solution to civil problems.
